Site History
Yes, believe it or not this little site of mine has a history to it. I first saw Slayers way back in 1998 and became more active in the fandom back in 2000. At the time I wasn't able to find but one shrine for the V/F pairing, which happened to be my favorite non-canon couple in Slayers. So with sudden inspiration I put forth what HTML skills I had and created Destined Dragons and had it hosted at homestead.com, since I was not able to purchase a domain just yet. At the time, DD was very small, and although I got lots of nice comments about it, I didn't update anymore cept for every few months when I received new submissions and I also got fed up with homestead.com and all their crap. It wasn't until late 2002 when Tasuki and Zee invited me to be a part of their Slayers web collective mazoku.org, that I felt truly inspired to work hard and make this site the best it could be. Today it is my oldest site and the only site I've kept before I moved into celebaelin.net my personal anime domain. It's my baby and I put lots of love into it. In September it will turn four years old -- its golden birthday to be precise -- and I hope it will last to see even more of them as well as remain one of the best online sources for the V/F fandom.
The current layout of Destined Dragons is themed "love lasting despite the odds" and was made one evening after I became tired of the old dark, cyber layout I originally had and wanted something more bright and colorful for the Spring. It uses one of the images from the Slayers Dra-Mata artbook that was scanned in by myself and was edited in PSP 7.0. Currently it's in archived format since I love it just too much to want to change it.
